About Castle Hills

Castle Hills, an award-winning Bright Realty development, is a 2,900-acre master-planned and mixed-use community located in Lewisville, Texas. Since welcoming its first residents in 1998, Castle Hills has continued to evolve as a community for people to live, work, play and thrive. With a convenient location that is close to freeways, airports and major corporate headquarters, Castle Hills has expanded to include two large mixed-use communities, The Realm at Castle Hills and Crown Centre at Castle Hills. The community continues to be recognized as one of the premier communities in north Dallas with abundant office, living, shopping and dining.

History History

History

The Bright family acquired the first piece of the property that today is known as Castle Hills in 1952. As children Chris Bright and Clay Bright learned to fish, hunt, camp, and ride horses on the land. Their children enjoyed fishing and fossil hunting on the family farm as well. The name Castle Hills was chosen to evoke the idea of home as a castle while suggesting the natural rolling landscape of the land. Also, the name Castle Hills is a subtle nod to the late family patriarch, H.R. “Bum” Bright, and his love of Arthurian legend. The community is an heirloom to the Bright family, and as a result from their love for the land, much care and planning goes into developing the farm into Castle Hills so it may continue to serve as a home base for generations.
