(Dallas, TX October 23, 2007)  Castle Hills, North Texas’ premier golf course community and the current Dallas Homebuilder Association’s “Community of the Year,” plans a major expansion to include more shopping, restaurants and amenities in this affluent neighborhood.  Castle Hills announced it will nearly double the existing amount of retail space to a total of 46,000 square feet and add more than 37,000 square feet of office space in the heart of the community.  Groundbreaking on Phase II of the development is scheduled for early December.

            The expansion of Castle Hills Village Shops will also include a tree-shaded plaza of walkways, gardens, outdoor seating, and numerous water features where people can shop, go for a walk, take their children, have lunch or dinner, or just enjoy the outdoors.  The Village Shops are located at the intersection of Lady of the Lake and King Arthur boulevards in the Castle Hills neighborhood, west of Plano and Carrollton, Texas.

             “With this major expansion, area residents will enjoy more shopping, dining, and personal services in a boutique setting,” said Castle Hills developer Chris Bright.

            The Village Shops’ current tenant mix includes Avalon’s restaurant and Gourmet to-Go, Ciao Bella Pizzeria, Hill Brothers Cleaners, a nail salon, Liberty Postal, The Village Market, and My Village Retreat day spa. There are also luxury townhomes adjacent to the Shops.

            Phase II will feature ground floor retail and upper level office space.  Plans for Phases III and IV include a full size grocery store and additional residential, retail and office space. 

            “This will be a unique mixed-used lifestyle area not found elsewhere in the area,” said Bright.  “People want to spend less time in their cars, and more time enjoying life. That’s what we are giving them in Castle Hills.
