Hebron High School
Opened in 1999 as one of the most technologically advanced schools in Texas, Hebron High School offers those in grades 9 through 12 an education that's second to none. Rated "Recognized" by the Texas Education Agency, its outstanding curriculum includes college advanced-placement courses, the Learning Enrichment Academic Program (LEAP) for gifted students, special needs classes, tutorial programs, a dyslexia program, computer labs, and a full selection of arts and athletic activities. In addition to offering a wide-range of academic options, Hebron also offers the advantages of a four-year high school over the two and three-year programs of some other schools in the area. Opportunities for student participation are greater at four-year high schools, especially in athletics that involve a fixed number of team members per grade level. Career Center East
Career Center East (CCE), open as of August 2010, will give Lewisville ISD a state-of-the-art career training facility. The programs offered at CCE are designed to prepare students in the pursuit of higher education technology studies or to provide professional certifications for technology-based employment opportunities immediately after high school. Students attending CCE will study several new high level technology-based programs as well as many established technology programs. Killian Middle School
"What begins here will change the world," is the motto of the new Killian Middle School. Killian opened in August of 2007 and serves grades 6 through 8 with the most technologically advanced campus in Lewisville ISD. Each classroom has a SmartBoard(tm) surround sound to enhance the learning experience. The Mustang students enjoy two computer labs, two gymnasiums, a technology education lab and a home economics lab. Killian Middle School, "Recognized" by the Texas Education Agency, offers a diverse range of advanced educational programs including the LEAP gifted program and pre-advanced placement classes. Students are able to choose from a wide range of athletic and arts electives. Castle Hills Elementary School
Castle Hills Elementary School, rated "Exemplary" by the Texas Education Agency, opened its doors in the fall of 2002 and offers its Kindergarten through 5th grade students many distinctive opportunities to grow and learn. Independence Elementary School
Independence became the flagship technology elementary school for Lewisville ISD upon opening in August 2008. Rated "Recognized" by the Texas Education Agency, the school features SmartBoards(tm) surround sound to enhance the learning experience, suspended video projector screens, a fully equipped computer lab, and technology education classes with new laptops and library with puppet theater. Independence serves pre-kindergarten through 5th grade students and offers various academic programs including LEAP gifted program, Multi-sensory Program, Extended School Day Program, Student Council, and University Interscholastic
League academic competition. The school-wide curriculum includes use of thinking maps, brace maps, tree maps, anchor charts and more to help students organize thoughts, promote vocabulary growth, as well as enhance reading and writing comprehension. Planning For Your Children's Future
Realizing the importance of quality schools and their impact on the community, the Castle Hills development team took an active role to enhance the future for resident children by creating The Castle Hills Schools Foundation. This unique, nonprofit organization is expected to generate $1 million annually in perpetuity and is funded by a fee of 1/2 of 1 percent of the sales price on the transfer of all real property within the community. The system assures that families living in Castle Hills will continue to receive innovative, generously funded educational support for their children for many years
to come.
Since its inception in 1999, the Schools Foundation has distributed over $3.7 million. Castle Hills Elementary School, Independence Elementary School, Creek Valley Middle School, Killian Middle School and Hebron High School have received the majority of the funds, but any non-profit school with five or more students from Castle Hills is eligible. Castle Hills homeowners serve on the Foundation Advisory Boards and make recommendations on how each school uses their awarded funds. Funds may be applied to teacher salary supplements, additional technology purchases for classrooms, subsidized day care centers, and other services as needs are determined.

College Reimbursement Program
The Schools Foundation is also dedicated to the higher education of children in Castle Hills. College tuition expenses may be reimbursed up to $10,000 per eligible child, regardless of income. The Foundation awards students $1,000 per year for 12 to 23 earned college credit hours and $2,000 for completion of 24 or more hours. To be eligible, the student must be the child of a Castle Hills property owner, attend an accredited two or four-year college, and must be 25 years of age or younger at the beginning of the academic semester. Applications are available May 31st of each year and must be submitted by September 1st for consideration.
